The Eternal City

Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome is among my favorite buildings. Initially built as a mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Hadrian and his family, it later served various purposes, including as a fortress and papal residence. The castle is characterized by its cylindrical shape and a striking statue of the Archangel Michael on its rooftop.
