I think it's easy to forget how far you've come.

Pick a moment in time and compare with where you are now. You may not be especially happy or you may even be ill at present, but you will have grown so much from previous years, learning new lessons, growing more conscious, possibly without realising.

Your independence is a credit to you - you are a treasure which is rare & difficult to pin down or possess. Keep evolving!
