Rare mileage

While all of the Stouffville line GO trains rest in the brightly lit Lincolnville GO yard, a shadow lurks to the left on the rarely used YDHR section of the Uxbridge subdivision. CN GP40-2LW 9450 is with CN 546, the first CN train in the Stouffville area on the Uxbridge sub in nearly 10 years. The reason for the occasion is to lift ONT 1603, a high hood GP9 that Ontario Northland graciously gave to the York-Durham Heritage Railway in 2022 as a temporary replacement for their unreliable Alcos. Now it's 2024, the YDHR is bankrupt, and Ontario Northland wants their engine back. It arrived safely on ONR property about a week after it was lifted in Lincolnville
