IC meets GTR
Built in 1885 by the Grand Truck, the Woodstock VIA station stands tall as CN Q122 rockets by with the most unlikely leader, an Illinois Central SD40-3. CN 122 was plagued with issues. The lead locomotive out of Chicago (IC 2702) had the smell of diesel fuel creep into the cab and was deemed unfit for leading. The trailing unit (CN 2671) lacked PTC so the power could not be wyed. The best unit available in Battle Creek was IC 6250, an SD40-3 built as BN 6771 painted in the IC deathstar scheme with Operation Lifesaver logos on the side. CN doesn't use SD40s outside of RC yard jobs in Ontario so this scene is only possible in extenuating circumstances.
