BX Falls is extremely hiker friendly even for older hikers. After our visit we ate at a restaurant in Vernon on our return home. We mentioned to the waitress that we had just visited BX Falls to which she replied that a friend of hers had built the staircase down to the falls. So now you have Flickr friend who knows a friend who knows a friend who built the stairs to BX Falls.
Taken with the 7Artisans 8mm F2.8 fisheye lens. Wife is slightly ahead going up but I did arrive first going down. But as she states, it's not a competition. Yeah right, it's not a competition when you're losing.
I'm sure you are wondering what the BX stand for. Well wonder no more:
Established by Francis Barnard (1829-1889) in 1861, the British Columbia Express Co., affectionately known as “Barnard's Express” or the BX, played a crucial role in ferrying mail and passengers between Yale and the Cariboo gold rush areas.
