Aurora Meteorite

Last word on the astro events for Sunday Aug 11: Perseid Meriorite Shower between midnight and dawn. I set my camera up at 11 to get an early start - one meteorite passed my way but there were odd pulsating waves and unfortunately a fair amount of cloud cover - but what the heck I went through the whole process of setting polar clock etc I let the recording go until 1 am. It wasn't until today when I viewed what had been captured that I saw the Northern Lights in full bloom, So bonus on the lights, negative on the meteorites. I will try again tonight hopefully it will be clearer. Composite to two images.

BTW for those interested in the technical part - I started with camera setting f.28 and ISO-125 but while the noise cleared up the image was too dull. Later when processing in LR I found I made the right decision moving up to 400 ISO for more vibrant colors as the 125 ISO remained dull and not usable. I mounted the camera on Star Adventurer 2 to allow longer exposures. This was aimed into the Milky Way so an abundance of stars show up - which I did manage to reduce in PS..
