In 2006, the two railway companies BLS and RM were merged to new BLS, with the bus subsidairies of both merged into new 100%-daughter Busland. In the following years, the inherited and very diverse fleets were gradually unified, with seven Solaris Urbinos delivered in 2008 and 2009 for secondary routes around Burgdorf and Langnau. One of the four Urbino 8.9LE delivered in 2008 is seen here on Langnau's only local bus route 281.
