Alpha Bernini
white and yellow space rover – febrovery mmxxı
Technical specifications:
- Four wheel classic technic steering,
operated by twisting the belly.
- Hips and shoulders rotate independently about the centerline.
Therefore this rover is fit for both plain and rocky terrain.
Other play features:
- Cockpit for one minifig.
- Storage for minifig equipment on both sides.
- Mini laboratory and storage for ore/crystal/whatever samples at the rear end.
Fun facts:
- I finally found a way to integrate these old school light bricks, and I’m quite content with the outcome.
- I’m particularly happy about the cockpit.
- I didn’t intend to make this look like an animal, and I think it doesn’t. Nevertheless I feel some artiodactyl vibes here, and interestingly, during building process, I mentally referred to "head, shoulders, belly, hips" instead of "cockpit, front axle, etc."
- This started as a "fast build", then took me almost a week :D
Feedback is welcome.
