"Kopfbewegung – heads, shifting" (2008)
Kinetische Skulptur aus Kunststoffscheiben auf Edelstahlstelen von Josefine Günschel und Margund Smolka
am Forum Adlershof
Die beiden Köpfe der Skulptur bestehen aus vielen Scheiben, die sich permanent langsam drehen, jedoch bei jedem Kopf in unterschiedlicher Geschwindigkeit. Dadurch verändern sie ständig ihr Aussehen und ihre Position zueinander. Das soll die Charakteristika einer Universität symbolisieren, nämlich Denken, Forschen, Kobinieren, Offenheit und die Fähigkeit Blickwinkel zu ändern.
In dem sich rasch entwickelnden Wissenschaftsstandort Adlershof mit etlichen universitären Einrichtungen, High-Tec-Unternehmen und Startups ist die Skulptur bereits zu einer Art Wahrzeichen geworden.

The two heads of the sculpture consist of many disks that are constantly rotating slowly, but at different speeds for each head. As a result, they constantly change their appearance and their position to each other. This should symbolize the characteristics of a university, namely thinking, researching, combining, openness and the ability to change perspectives.
In the rapidly developing scientific location of Adlershof with a number of university facilities, high-tech companies and startups, the sculpture has already become a kind of landmark.
