Rochdale Olympic

A rare Rochdale Olympic, with only around 400 built during the 1960s. It was the second car to use a glass fibre monocoque after the Lotus Elite. Originally powered by a 1.5 litre Riley engine, then switch to a Ford engine in 1963. Nick Smith & Richard Lambert led the first lap of the CMMC Classic Challenge race, at Mallory Park, in front of the 3.8 litre Lister Knobbly. Report on the meeting in the current issue of Classic and Competition Car magazine. Read online, free at www.classicandcompetitioncar.com
