Sizing Up The Competition!! (Explored 9-12-2025)
A female Anna's Hummingbird and male Flame Skimmer competing for insects! The Dragonfly landed at the top of a spent Yucca Bloom, this is a prime spot for our Hummingbirds. The Anna's Hummingbird succeeded in chasing the Dragonfly out of her territory. It was a fun interaction between the two species, both were very curious and leery of each other.
