Male Anna's Hummingbird!!
Flash, one of our resident male Anna's Hummingbirds, landed on a Yucca leaf. I was in our backyard with my camera when he flew in, and landed four feet from where I was standing. I had to back up so that I could get him in focus. He was flying from perch to perch while he was patrolling for possible incoming Hummingirds to our yard. His gorget is stunning when the light hits the feathers just right. Photo taken in Camas, Washington.
