That Mountain Light

As self serving as it may be to describe ones own work with some sort of superlative, the light on this particular late afternoon while up in the Eastern Sierra was simply top shelf.

We were roaming about looking for compositions and enjoying the weather as the snow storm rolled into the area. Every time I took my gloves off to manipulate my camera was a new adventure in and of itself (I don't think my knuckles have ever been so chapped).

But the light here...

As it streamed through the clouds and between the crests it filled me with a warmth that couldn't be trampled by the wind chill factor. It was a sublime vision.

An hour later everything was turning white as the first snow of the season fell across the Eastern Sierra.
