NGC 2264 Region - The Christmas Tree Nebula - Explored June 9, 2022

The Christmas Tree Cluster is a young open cluster located in the constellation Monoceros. Included are the Cone Nebula and the Fox Fur Nebula. It is located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way.

This is a reprocess of some older data, using HA, and RGB filters.

•SBIG ST2000xm CCD Camera cooled to -20'c

•SBIG CFw8 Filter Wheel

•Custom Scientific Red, Green, Blue Filters

•Astronomic 12NM Ha Filter

•Orion ST80 Guide Scope

•Orion Starshoot Autoguider Guide Camera

 

Exposure Details:

•Ha 15X300 seconds - Bin 1x1

•Red 10X300 seconds - Bin 1x1

•Green 10X300 seconds - Bin 1x1

•Blue 10X300 seconds - Bin 1x1
