Six Toa heroes washed ashore on a tropical Island called Mata Nui. Although united by the same duty, they were not created equal: they were meant to work together to overcome their weaknesses, their differences. But a great evil grew discontent with their lack of uniformity, he could not see the purpose in their unique design.
