The Lorelei of the Tarn River

I do not remember much of the German course that I took in high school, but two lessons are still deeply engraved in my memory : Die Lorelei, poem by Heinrich Heine, and Der fliegende Holländer (the flying Dutchman).

 

Here, I tried to reproduce the image that was in my German book, a beautiful siren standing on a rock above the Rhine river and luring fishermen to their death.
