Wakefield Bus Station 1973

This photograph was taken by Ken Aveyard at about 1635 on a weekday in September 1973 from the paying in room at City Depot .

A pair of Bingley's Leopards can be seen in the layover area ready to do the 1705 departure with Savile Street Bristol RELL 287 on the 189 stand for the 1648, and a Belle Isle Fleetline on the 1650 57 to Bradford. A Dennis Loline is behind on the 1640 70 to Pontefract, not a common sight, and a further RELL can be seen far right on the 1645 123 to Grimethorpe. A THL Reliance is hidden on the spare stand just visible to the right of the 189.
