Sagra longicollis

This is a portrait of a Sagra longicollis, a beetle belonging to the family Chrysomelidae. All the insects belonging to the genus Sagra are characterized by a metallic livery with shades of red, yellow, green, purple, pink and blue which vary according to the sun's rays. The species are commonly referred to as frog-legged beetles or kangaroo bettles, cause of their last pair of legs, much bigger than the others. This photo is a stacking of 50 exposures, taken using an automatic focus stacking rail in my macro studio. I used a microscope 4x plan achromatic infinity lens with raynox dcr 150 lens on extension tubes
