Die Sheikh Lotfollah Moschee ist eines der Meisterwerke der iranischen Architektur, die während des Safavidenreichs erbaut wurde und auf der Ostseite des Naqsch-e-Dschahan-Platzes in Isfahan steht. Der Bau der Moschee begann 1603 und wurde 1619 abgeschlossen. Die Moschee diente dem königlichen Hof privat, weshalb sie auch keine Minarette hat.
Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is one of the masterpieces of Iranian architecture that was built during the Safavid Empire, standing on the eastern side of Naqsh-i Jahan Square, Esfahan, Iran. Construction of the mosque started in 1603 and was finished in 1619. The purpose of this mosque was for it to be private to the royal court. For this reason, the mosque does not have any minarets.
