JOHN JONES: clockmaker/watchmaker; active 1821-1910 at 338, Strand, London. A major manufacturer of clocks and watches, founded by John Jones senior and later run by his son, also John. John Jones junior was vice president of the British Horological Institute. He died in Send Green aged 94.
