45118 arrives into preston working "the north west wanderer" railtour. this was a railtour designed by LSL to showcase there evergrowing fleet of heritage diesel traction. this was the second leg which had the 45 leading and had D400 (50050) dead on the rear after it had failed. it arrived working the 1Z60 1117 Carlisle to Preston which got in 1 minute late. the 50 was then due to work back to crewe light engine but due to its low power issue it was left on the train dead. D213 then arrived in working the light engine 0Z40 1253 crewe H.S. to preston. the 40 would then lead 50050, the rake of coaches with 45118 on the rear with the 1Z62 1504 Preston to Hellifield which departed 1 minute late. this was the third leg of the tour
