-Modified TIE/vr ''Vindicator'' Prototype-

Several years after the Clone Wars ended, the newly formed Empire ordered Sienar Fleet Systems to make a new type of starfighter that would be both cheap to produce in mass quantities and effective in combat situations. Before they settled on the design that would eventually evolve into the TIE Fighter, a number of prototypes were designed. Although almost all of these only got produced in small quantities and were destroyed not long after getting rejected, a couple of them were stolen by employees and later ended up on the black market. One of these prototypes was codenamed as the Vindicator; similar to the TIE Striker model this prototype had flat and pointed wings, but instead of facing forward the wings were positioned sideways. The cockpit could fit one person along with a significant amount of cargo. Along with that the ship was fitted with four laser barrels, space to store a couple of proton bombs and three small ion engines allowing for easy maneuvering while still having enough firepower to engage in combat.

One of the prototypes that ended up on the black market was purchased by the skilled smuggler Quay Sta’nn. Some of the modifications he made to the ship included adding a couple of winglets to reduce drag during flights in a planet's atmosphere, upgrading the laser barrels to allow for more firepower and replacing the proton bomb chute to have more cargo space in the small starfighter. The most noticeable of these modifications was changing the color scheme from the regular TIE gray and black scheme to a clean white one with dark red accents. Lastly he added his family’s emblem on the wings as a tribute to his late parents.
