Happy Diwali ~ Light & Wisdom
After Holi (The festival of color), Diwali is my second favorite festival of Hinduism. It is the festival of light. I was always fascinated with the history behind the holiday and the vibrant lights, candles and rangoli decorations I used to witness during my school days.
This is what brought magic to my life and made me believe that light would always prevail over darkness. I do love darkness too since if there was no dark, light wouldn't really exist. That is where wisdom comes from. ;)
What most forget is Diwali is not just the festival of light, but a reminder of good over evil, wisdom over ignorance and to always give thanks for our good fortunes in life.
P.S. Quite late (Well 26th is the last day xD) but didn't want to miss spending a Diwali moment with this lion.
The scented candles are from Knick Knicks:-
