Come Feel

"Come." The voice whispered silently towards the passive listener.

 

"Closer." It beckoned.

 

The listener paused and just listened but made no efforts to move closer. Perhaps this was all it could allow itself to feel. This was safe, there was no requirement to cross that line. Satisfaction is better than plunging deeply into an unknown sea of depth. How would it be possible to recover if the feeling would be taken away?

 

"But what are you afraid of?" asked the voice.

 

"To be sucked of all I could feel and be left hollow and rotten."

 

"Oh, but it's impossible to be hollow. There will always be feeling, whether good or bad. It has to be acknowledged and not dismissed." The voice explained. "You have to embrace all your emotions and not shun one for the other. Accept the sadness, disappointments, heartbreaks and you will come to realize that it is part of what makes you grow into the beautiful flower that you are."

 

So. come feel. ;)
