The Place To Be

The smell of coffee? No, the smell of saffron? Wait, the smell of curry? But, there is a smell of paper, you know, like new books or old books? Old wood? Then there is this sweet smell of nature too. What beautiful chaos to our senses!

He stopped near an Asian building, peeking in to see lines of books on shelf, vinyl racks and of course, a comfortable place to relax. Not to mention the menu and counter with tempting beverages and main courses.

It gave him coffee shop vibes, but it wasn't just a "coffee shop". It was like being whisked to both Japan and India all at once. The building itself was Japanese style yet there were elephant decors on the wall and Vaastu Pots all around. Yet, they managed to make it almost modern despite keeping some tradition.

He scanned the menu before looking up to the smiling woman that mumbled something in Japanese on her phone before hanging up and bowing towards him respectfully.

"Can I get a masala chai?" he asked with a big smile, "With an order of Gyoza please." he grinned. She smiled and whispered into the ears of the man that was working at the back area. His dark skin glistening in the light of the room. He bobbed his head from side to side listening to her.

Upon chatting he discovered that they served full course meals if desired and you have a more comfortable seating place on the first floor of the building. He took a seat on one of the chairs, admiring the décor. All the flowers and little messages brightening his day.

And then he heard them laughing which made him turn to look at the man inserting one of the fallen flowers into the woman's dark shiny hair.

"I adore you." he said...

And it was pretty obvious that this was the place to be.

P.S. This cozy spot is located at Raion No Su, right near the landing point. On the first floor, there is an Indian homey restaurant as well. Want to listen to good music? Want to read magazines, mangas or books? Want Indian Food? Coffee? Sweets? We got you covered!

Most of the items used here are from 8f8's latest release at Cosmopolitan called 8f8 - Whites - Collection. This set was so fun to place around. Especially reading all the cute messages.

It's all inside Kotte's Manga Cafe building.
