An eager smile is painted on his lips,

The heart beat of hope throbbing so loud,

He will finally not be lonely any longer,

Despite the countless failures before,

Broken promises passed through his aching soul,

Ruined trust from selfish intentions,

Toxic fingers dipping into his mind,

Yet, Here he was with open arms,

Completely ready to accept you,

Silencing the demons that were chattering in his ears,

Whispering of disaster, abandonment and lies,

Oh how he wished they would just disappear,

Perhaps he should have listened?

Though his nature is pure and just,

No matter if you forget about his existence,

Just a quiet explosion from within his being,

A repulsion to allow others to share his burden,

A crimson smile seems more safer to wear these days...
