Swallowed! - Chapter 1
The last heatwave of summer has left, welcoming the yellow leaves and rainy breeze. She found herself having a moment with the wind, allowing it to caress her cheeks, trail its fingers through her hair and did she imagined a light kiss over her lips? Chuckling to herself she continued on the walk home through her favorite path. Puddles from last night's rain bringing joy to her inner youth, despite getting older year by year.
Luno trailed near her, occasionally attacking her legs for fun because he usually gets bored easily. He looked at the puddles with disgust, just shaking his feline head, ears twitching before he looked up at her since she stopped walking. His eye squinted and he looked so not impressed. Why was she stopping? Not this again. He released a displeased mrowl.
What she did was simple really, she stopped near the edge of the path, kicked her slippers away to the side, put down the basket of apples and groceries she picked up. She eyed Luno with an innocent smile, "Don't be a kill joy..." she said towards the dark one. The feline looked fed up but he just turned away and decided to close his eyes and dream of catnip all day long.
Just like a child, she balanced her hands over her side, looked down over the puddle, lifting a foot towards it before lowering it down. The cold damp left over rain water giving her a light shiver. The wind around her began to pick up, making Luno release a yowl in retaliation. We should have just went straight home. Tsk.
Before she could stop what happened. She found the wind pushing her forward, both her feet into the puddle...along with her entire body just getting swallowed whole.
Luno eyed the empty puddle, looking left and right. Another meow was released and he even bravely reached out to paw the water a bit looking disgusted again. She was gone...
The puddle swallowed her!
