Rome, 15 February 2024 ? IICA is committed to giving visibility to the role of women and accelerating the development of sound public policies for the benefit of women who live in rural areas. This initiative, developed with Vogue to mark the International Day of Rural Women, seeks to pay tribute to these women. IICA travelled to four countries in the Americas ? Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala and Jamaica ? to tell the stories of women who live off the land. The result is 15 images that depict the powerful life stories of women for whom food is synonymous with affection and survival, and whose colourful, handcrafted garments have great significance.
