Beware of the dogs.......

The only inhabitated island in Lake Garda is the island of Isola del Garda with its beautiful castle of the same name in Venetian style.

The story goes that a 200 years ago some poor fisherman tried to break into this castle.

They didn´t get much further than a few yards from the shore, as they went mauled by the owners dozens of stray guard dogs.....
