Blue Hour Reflections of National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing
This night photograph of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing was taken during my recent visit to Tsinghua University as Distinguished Visiting Professor.
According to Wikipedia, NCPA was designed by French architect Paul Andreu and is the largest theatre complex in Asia. Its exterior is a steel structural shell, with a semi-ellipsoidal shape. It is colloquially described as The Giant Egg.
This photograph was taken during blue hour, with slight breeze. The water in the surrounding pool of NCPA provided captivating reflections of the structure, and looks like a giant egg.
Best wishes for a wonderful weekend!
