Hatching Day
After many days, the mating Canada Geese now have a new addition to their family. I manage to capture a few shots of the goslings just a few hours old. Looking forward to seeing the three fuzz balls grow as both parents guide them on their new journey. Dad is very protective of Mom and the down covered nest. The gander guarded the nest ‘day and night’ for the past 28 days. They had a total of 4 eggs, but one did not develop. Both parents will be active in the raising the goslings to adult birds. Photo was taken early in the morning as the little ones clustered close to Mom for warmth and comfort.
