🎵Castle on the Hill🎵

Duntulmn Castle, Trotternish peninsula, Isle of Skye

The day after the snow I returned to Duntulm Castle for sunrise in much calmer conditions...and no sliding down the grass on the way either! Despite me staying only about 20mins down the road I did end up getting here about 10mins too late as what colour there was in the sky was peaking as I parked the car. I managed to still capture a little and the above is a 3 bracket shot blended which gave me a nice smoothing to the sea. You can still see a trace of snow on the grass. I shot a lot of portrait orientation images which I think suits here better but 15mm wasn't wide enough and in hindsight I should have shot a 2-3 shot pano. It's such a dramatic location and as it originates from the C14th-C15th it must have a lot of tales to tell! I definitely feel there is more I could get out of this location so it's 'unfinished business' in my book.

I felt the photo had to be titled after the Ed Sheeran song!
