Sidelight

Lindisfarne Castle / Holy Island, Northumberland, England

 

Well I recently posted a pre-sunrise image from here www.flickr.com/photos/184798091@N07/52339769103/in/datepo... and a short while later the scene above unfolded where the sun sneaked through a gap in the clouds and shone some gorgeous sidelight on Lindisfarne Castle. You saw what it did to the boat I posted yesterday. I'd have liked to do a long exposure for the water but the boats were moving too much and I was concerned the light might go any second. All-in-all a great first sunrise in Northumberland!
