Blue Sunday
Five Sisters of Kintail from Keppoch, Loch Duich
I admit I'm guilty of generally thinking I need to shoot Blue/Golden hour and avoid strong light. Whilst I think that's generally true I do think we Togs should not ignore the possibility of getting some half decent shots on blue sky days. This may not be to everyone's taste but I had finished a sunrise shoot at Eilean Donan Castle (to come) and was heading to Glencoe and was traveling along the side of Loch Duich when I came across this scene and had to stop. The light was incredibly strong and hazy but to me it looked great and had to snap some shots. Luckily I found a parking place nearby and just walked back up the road and hopped over a safety barrier before wading into some gorse to grab my shots. I just liked the blue tones, layers of the mountains and the diagonal lines.
