All that glistens.....
I hadn't been to Mudeford for over a year so recently decided to revisit for sunrise as the forecast was promising for high clouds. As it transpired the cloud cover was fairly light except to the east on the horizon effectively snuffing out my changes of any interest in the sky....or so I thought. As it turned out the irregular broken cloud just where the sun was rising helped diffuse the sun's light a little but not enough to stop the wet rocks on the groyne catching the light. I shot some vertical and horizontal compositions before and after this one but think this is my favourite of the compositions. Not a great sky but I liked the way it caught a bit of colour and balanced the groyne in the opposite diagonal.
A 3 shot bracketed image blended to smooth out the sea a bit as the waves were coming and going. Every so often there was one of those 'turbocharged' waves and nearly lost my footing/tripod even though it looked fairly steady. Not sure how my camera would stand up to a salt water bath! Thanks for viewing.
