B 5112 (steam 4-4-0 with tender) ready to service the passenger
The Steam locomotive are preparing service for tour from Ambarawa station-Tuntang station round-trip (12 km).
In the past, Staatsspoorwegen bring 44 unit of this steam locomotive at year 1900-1910. Because economy crisis at year 1929–1934, this locomotive had to be saved. From 44 unit steam locomotive, only 1 locomotive still persist at present and still operational with the Indonesian Railway Company as the owner. The route of this steam locomotive is Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung–Merak, Kertosono–Madiun–Blitar, and Babat-Jombang.
Jati wood are the steam fuel of B5112. It has speed 75 km/h with power 415 hp when operational at the past. The route of this steam locomotive are Java and South Sumatera province. One locomotive again are moved to the West Sumatera for Muarokalaban-Pekanbaru route service. But now, the Muarokalaban-Pekanbaru route are closed.
This locomotive are not produced again since the invention of the superheater in the steam locomotive.
Only 1 locomotive still persist at present and still in operational as tour train.
