Kalimenur station, non active station
This station are saved many history since their first operationed. The locals are called "Kalimenur" Station. The location of this station are not far from National road (Yogya-Wates), and become strategic station. If you want go to the Wates station or Sentolo station, you can you the train to go there in the past time. Kalimenur are built together with the Surabaya-Cilacap railway at 1887. Kalimenur are transit station for passanger. Old locomotive are always stop in this stasion to carry the locals. They are majority as Tofu seller with the Yogyakarta station as their destination.
Old locomotive are always stop in this station to carry the locals as passanger. In year 1974, this station are stopped operation. Railway company (DKA) at that time are order some of old locomotive to serve Yogyakarta-Surabaya railway. Locals are called the train as "Sepur grenjeng/Grenjeng train or Sepur Bumel/Bumel train". The old locomotive type that carry the passanger are D52 with wheel confirmation 2-4-4-2 plus tender. Railway company has plan to bring D52 entered to the Java province and Sumatera province at 1950. 37 Old locomotive "D52" are came to the Indonesia in 1952. One year later, 63 Old locomotive are came to the Indonesia. Railway company (DKA) are placement 90 Locomotive in Java and 10 Locomotive in Sumatera province.
For this time (2023), Only one old locomotive still remaining. That Locomotive are save in Purwosari Station, Solo.
