The Parish Church of Saint Peter
Sibthorpe is a village and civil parish in the borough of Rushcliffe, in the county of Nottinghamshire. The village is located close to the Fosse Way Roman road between the towns of Newark on Trent & Bingham.
The parish church of St Peter is located towards the southern edge of the village, it has a 13th century west tower and an 18th century nave. The chancel was built in the 14th century and was connected to a college of priests that was attached to the church in the late medieval period, founded in 1320 by Geoffrey le Scrope. The collegiate buildings were situated to the east of the church, all that remains today is a 14th century Dovecote.
