Tewkesbury Abbey is located in the town of Tewkesbury in the English county of Gloucestershire. The town sits on the confluence of the River Avon and the River Severn and is located 10 miles north from the city of Gloucester.
A former Benedictine monastery, the abbey is now a parish church and is considered one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain, it is claimed to has "probably the largest and finest Romanesque" crossing tower in England.
