A surgeon will perform a hysterectomy through the vagina, a large incision in the abdomen, or laparoscopy. You can either have a total hysterectomy, a supracervical hysterectomy, or a radical hysterectomy. During the procedure, the surgeon will remove your fibroids by removing your entire uterus.
