Superb_

These luminous lily blossoms make sparse solitary splashes of bright color in the dimness of a deeply shaded and moist river flood plain in the northeastern U.S. These could be escaped exotic Asian cultivars (but why here?) or, more likely, native true American tiger lily aka “Turk’s Cap”, (Lilium superbum). I think them superb however their name should be.
