1968 Cadillac ElDorado "Helldorado"
Hell’s Chariot
The eighth-generation Cadillac Eldorado is an uncommon choice for a lowrider build. This can be attributed to the relative incompatibility of its front-wheel-drive layout with significant hydraulic systems. But Joe Ray did not let that challenge hinder his vision for “Helldorado.” He enlisted the Engle Brothers to convert the car to rear-wheel drive, which involved swapping the body onto a bespoke frame and redesigning the floor to accommodate the new drivetrain. Regarding the car's appearance at the 2019 Grand National Roadster Show, MotorTrend described “Helldorado” as “...a ruby in a bushel of diamonds.”
