Ystrad Mynach 'Flex'
Ystrad Mynach was always a favourite Valley Lines location because of the semaphore signalling until that was replaced a few years ago, but owing its split-platforms quite decent record shots may still be captured. Earlier in the day I saw I saw two Class 769 Flex units, but neither were in ideal photographic situations, they were heading north up the Rhymney valley, so with the help of RTT I found a suitable location to await their return.
769002 works 2P64, the 14.46 Bargoed to Penarth through Ystrad Mynach on 19 May 2021. In today's bland 'tat' designs, this somewhat elderly design looks quite smart in my prejudiced opinion.
