Chicory or roadside chicory is a perennial herb in the basket-flowered plant family with light blue flowers. In Skåne (south Sweden) dialectally called blåbinkegräs[1] and blåblinka. An older regional name form is Jernört. It has historically been used, among other things, as a salad, coffee substitute and as a remedy for gout.
