Blue-footed Booby

The Blue-footed Booby's name comes from the Spanish word "bobo" meaning fool. It's a coastal seabird found along the Eastern Pacific coastline from Mexico to northern Chile. Apparently the darker its feet the better nourished it is. This Booby was sharing this small rocky outcrop with red crabs called Sally Lightfoot crabs.
