The Great Dizzy Gillispie

Dizzy was legendary and players like Miles Davis and Clark Terry and many other jazz greats learned to play from listening to Dizzy. The night I took this shot of him, at the Monterey Jazz Festival, was just one of many times I was lucky enough to see and hear the great Dizzy Gillespie play his very unique horn. He was truly one of the great jazzmen of all time. He wrote "A Night inTunisia" and "Manteca" among many other lasting jazz standards.
