The Day The Earth Stood Still
I went to a computer store today to get a new chip for one of my cameras. I noticed this big (10 ft. tall) robot guy, with his swooning girl friend in his arms. He's from a movie called, “The Day The Earth Stood Still” (1951) which was directed by Robert Wise, who later directed “West Side Story” (1961) and later “The Sound of Music” (1965) & others. The electronics store bought some of these old robots & put some ot them in the aisles of their store. The Robots name in the film is Gort.
