Tug Towing a loaded barge_2834

Skies are more normal now that the winds have backed off and aircraft are able to deliver water to the fire areas. Aircraft vary from water dumping helicopters to tanker prop planes that perform incredible feats in scooping up sea water in flight and heading back to the hot spots, to DC10 size jets flying low altitudes in hilly country to dump precision loads of fire retardant, colored bright red. These courageous and skillful pilots and the hard working, on foot fire crews, from Mexico, Canada, even South Africa; and incarcerated (prison) fire fighters, making a little over $10 a DAY, deserve meaningful and historic honors for the danger-filled work they have done...and continue to do to mitigate this terrible disaster. The fires, somewhat subdued, are still burning.
