Honey Bee, Apis Mellifera

Palos Verdes, CA Point Vicente Interpretive Reserve, Viewers might notice the quality of the light in this photo. The tone is in part due to the atmospheric effects of the more than 20 major fires now burning along the length of California, including parts of Southern California, where this was taken. There are many reasons for this disastrous fire season, but one that must not be overlooked and that can be addressed, is the ongoing failure of the American people to insist that action be taken by our government to mitigate global warming by cutting CO2 emissions. Global warming is part of this fire season, as well as this hurricane season. Temperatures in parts of Los Angeles this past week reached a record 121 degrees F.
