A walnut breakfast
On some mornings, I awake to wonder if I will see anything to photograph that day. This morning I needn't have worried. As soon as I opened the curtains at 6.45 a.m., a squirrel was up on the pergola sunbathing. After a minute it climbed down onto the ground, disappeared for a second or two, then reappeared to climb up the pergola again with a large walnut in its mouth. Breakfast was served and I got my shot.
